Celebrate Repeal Day!

Posted on December 4th, 2007 by Jason

On December 5, 1933, the people of Utah stuck it to the teetotalers and ratified the 21st Amendment, bringing America’s regrettable years of alcohol Prohibition to an end. To celebrate this glorious day, we invite you to relive the speakeasy and lift a glass to freedom.

Of course, far too many things are still forbidden. From a variety of drugs to delicious unpasteurized milk, if it’s enjoyable and risky there’s a good chance it’s against the law. And while we can’t bring narcotics to the bar and milk doesn’t add much to the party, we’re making a point of gathering in Virginia, free from the District’s smoking ban. Light up and smell the liberty! Or don’t. It’s up to you, Bub.

Come join us in the speakeasy room at Ragtime to celebrate the end of Prohibition and protest government’s countless intrusions into our personal business. We’ll have great drink specials till 8 and the party lasts as long as you want it to. Bring friends, and speak easy.

Start Time: Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at 6:30pm
Location: The Ragtime Speakeasy Room
Street: 1345 N Court House Rd
City/Town: Arlington, VA

RSVP on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=5782847071

Not in DC? Start your own Repeal Day event!

Multiple nominees are welcome. Submissions will be condensed to five nominees for each category and HQ will decide on the winner (or loser depending on your perspective).

Operation Publik Service, Publik Schmervice still needs your help…

We want the top ten reasons YOU diss on, hate, abhor, detest, loath or just plain don't like bureaucracy, specific government agencies or anything that has to do with the former for possible inclusion in our "Top 10 Reasons NOT to work for the Government" flier…

We'll be passing out these fliers in an effort to get the participants in a D.C. Job Fair to think about the negative consequences of working for the bureaucracy and to choose other interests when searching the tables.

Extra KRASHER KUDOS for funny, witty and clever responses…

It’s your Bureaucrash

Posted on January 15th, 2007 by HQ

Bureaucrash was never designed to be some centrally planned organization. We leave that to governments. What we aim to be is a place where pro-freedom activists go to post on topics they care about and suggest ways we can work to educate others (with style) about why freedom is good and statism is bad.

Because it is your Bureaucrash I'd like to invite you crashers to submit the content that makes this site what it is. Feel like a rant or just want to share something? Post to your own blog. Want to alert other activists about something interesting? Post a headline (it's way simple). Got some artistic ability? Post an image (We heart art). Want to meet other crashers in a particular area or with particular interests? Well then start a cell group.

This site is a conversation. For every item posted you can add comments to conspire with your fellow freedom-fighters. Don't be shy. Do be active!

Your pals at HQ.

Welcome to Bureaucrash 4.0

Posted on December 31st, 2006 by HQ

You may have noticed a few changes around bureaucrash.com… like everything. We've received a lot of feedback from crashers on what they wanted to see in a website worthy of 2007 and I'd like to think we delivered the goods. Thanks to crasher sethcohn for using his programming skilz and everyone who helped with the beta test. But we're not done. Not by a long shot. In addition to the few inevitable and pesky errors we'll be adding some groovy new features to make your crashing easier and of course more fun. Stay tuned and as always post comments to let HQ what you think and how to make our activist network better.

Assisting Crashers

Posted on January 11th, 2006 by HQ

If you have a vague idea, we can help you flesh it out. We can help you develop graphical concepts for flyers or posters or even web sites. We can help you write slogans or even text for pamphlets or viral emails. We can help you find statistics or facts to bolster the information campaigns you run locally.

If we really like your idea, we may even fund the development of graphics, materials and web sites for your campaign and turn it into a national campaign, run by you. We call this activist incubation and are very much interested on hearing your ideas for such national campaigns.

Whether you come up with a flyer that your cell group posts around your campus or have come up with a complete set of campaign resources that you enact in your area, Bureaucrash can promote it to the entire network. We can provide downloadable versions of your material online in the war-room or feature your campaigns in our campaign gallery. Imagine; your ideas could be used by hundreds of activists across the country through the Bureaucrash network.

The first step to getting our assistance is to contact us at hq@bureaucrash.com.
