Fight Ignorance
The symbol on this is the FI-Sign, a parody of the peace symbol. The peace symbol was based off the semaphoric signals for N and D, standing for Nuclear Disarmament, later to be called the Peace Sign. The FI-Sign is composed of the semaphoric signals for F and I, standing for Fight Ignorance, meaning people should educate themselves, analyze the norm, and always challenge those aspects of the Status Quo that breed or are bred from ignorance, illogic, or oppression. The rights of the individual are supreme, and it is only the ignorance and complacency of the masses that allows the bureaucrats of the world to dominate and oppress us. Through learning, we open the eyes of the ignorant and stir the complacent, because both of these aspects dwell within ourselves. A person with his eyes open cannot sleep, and will therefore grow restless and go about the house busying himself with those chores he may otherwise have neglected. The FI-Sign begs us to stir and wake ourselves, to flee from our beds and spruce up our surroundings, to make things right again, to make them safe so that we will not sleep through a fire, and thus the flames consume us. This is an umbrella we can all find shelter under, because who doesn't seek truth? While it may not be a tangible destination that we will some day come upon and declare ourselves wise, it is a goal we must seek to constantly better ourselves and further understand the rights and freedoms we must protect. Embrace the journey, and use this symbol to tell others you are with them on it, so that we may help each other, and perhaps some day chart unmapped territory we never knew existed. Together, it is possible.Fight Ignorance

Sorry, guys, but I think this is kind of lame. Parody is great, but this seems like something that only other crashers will actually appreciate. I don't think it will speak to a wide audience at all. (Sorry to make my first post on this site a negative one! I love a lot of Bureaucrash propaganda.)

I'm going to have to agree. I even had to look up semaphoric in the dictionary. Only sailors will get that.

Actually, I will agree with you. Perhaps I shouldn't have put this under "Propaganda". It's really more of a personal symbol of intent, one we could possibly use as a symbol of intent or unity. I recall reading an account of one individual going to college during Vietnam who was very confused when he first saw a Peace symbol on someone's jacket; it was a tool for those who believed in the "peace and love" philosophy of the time, a beacon of common belief, as opposed to a tool for explanation/education. I appreciate the comment.
