Thats the only way I can describe it. I built my computer once, found out I had a dead MOBO when there was no activity, took it apart, and send the motherboard back.
I got my new one today, built it, and this time it seemed to work fine since I had a display and it recognized my hardware. After connecting my keyboard however, it ceased to work and at this point I noticed a CMOS checksum error.
I tried resetting the CMOS but that didn't work. There is a 99.9% chance I'm going to have to send this one back too. Damn it.
When all else fails, hit it.
