Police in the small town of Keene, NH arrested Andrew Carroll yesterday for being in possession of a small amount of unlit marijuana. I’m told that this “marijuana” is a plant that the kids use to make “happy cigarettes” so they can “get high.” Kids, except Andrew who has never smoked the stuff and doesn’t plan to. Prior to his arrest, the Keene based Ridley Report and Free Minds TV discussed Andrew’s plan. Footage from the event is below, which includes an audio update about his charges.

Andrew advertised the event so as the two cops approached he was surrounded by media and what was reported as a crowd of 42 supporters. Making the libertarian point that there should be no such things as “victimless crimes,” members of the crowd shouted, “where is the victim?” and later “Andrew is the victim.” Unfortunately some also evoked Godwin’s law when they called the cops Nazis. Free advice: I’ve been a bit overzealous at times but the idea is to communicate ideas that resonate with a larger public. Otherwise, good for Andrew and his supporters. He was brave enough to pit himself against the state and their stupid rules while accepting the consequences.
