Freedom Fighters Confront “Constitution Free Zones”
A couple of months ago on my personal blog I posted about “Constitution Free Zones” (as dubbed by the ACLU) - the 100 mile band from the U.S. border inland where, despite the Fourth Amendment, individual rights are being violated by those employed by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and its sub-agency, Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE). According to the ACLU:
. . .these stops by Border Patrol agents are not remaining confined to that border security purpose. On the roads of California and elsewhere in the nation – places far removed from the actual border – agents are stopping, interrogating, and searching Americans on an everyday basis with absolutely no suspicion of wrongdoing.
Fortunately Americans are not sitting idly by as their rights are taken.
One excellent example of this is CheckPointUSA, who, as is clear in the video below, are well-versed in the applicable laws and court cases, remain courteous yet firm, and are unwavering in their conviction. Bureaucrash was recently in contact with this group and their message to us and to freedom fighters everywhere is clear:
Spreading the word is probably the biggest help you could offer at this stage. The more people that realize how DHS is operating inside the country, the quicker we can put a stop to it.
Safety is obviously of paramount concern to many people and for good reason. Yet allowing the federal government, through the DHS and other agencies, to usurp our rights is shameful and more than that, dangerous. As Benjamin Franklin said, “They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

And, if the video above didn’t make you angry enough or if you want to support our friends at CheckPointUSA, hit up their YouTube channel, website and blog. Then share their links with your friends and family so we can, as CheckPointUSA noted, put a stop to this.
