Tortilla Battle Update part 1
The tortilla battle went off as planned with about 10 confirmed guests! We decided that in order to maximize our efforts, we will hold another event this weekend during peak foot-traffic hours. Although our participants had fun, we felt that we could have distributed more flyers to bystanders. The weekend should provide an excellent time frame in which to reach more of the student body.
Hopefully our example will give other student groups some ideas on how to stand up for free speech in a creative way. Many campuses around the country have ridiculous “thought crime” policies and even go so far as to “reeducate” students on politically correct speech. Freedom-oriented student activists must stand up for free speech and help protest these draconian practices.
