Crashers,

In our newest Podcrash, Xaq interviews Patri Friedman (the grandson of the great freedom fighter Milton Friedman and son of anarcho-capitalist David Friedman) about the Seasteading Institute. We’ve also uploaded all the lectures from the Liberty Summer Seminar for your listening enjoyment.

Do you live in New England and love liberty? Then you should get to the Third Annual Live Free or Die Celebration happening the weekend of Aug. 22nd-24th in Jaffrey, NH. If you plan on going let us know ASAP so we can get a table and get some Contraband sent your way.

Do you live in the upper-Midwest and want to go to the Rally for the Republic in Minneapolis, MN from Sept. 1st-2nd? We’re looking for a couple of crashers to represent Bureaucrash at the rally — we’ll get you in, loan you a Flip camera to record the events, and give you some swag for helping us and a little pocket money for meals. If you’re interested reply to this email and we’ll get the ball rolling.

Last week I noted that our Opportunities section had been expanded. Thanks to those of you who responded and noted your interest and particular skill area, I’m excited to see what comes to fruition from such great potential. Today I wanted to make a pitch specifically for interns, who are key to the continued growth and success of Bureaucrash. With the end of the summer looming we’ll soon be without Janet, our first Koch Fellow, and Anja, who works with us half-time from Chicago. So, if you want to help us spread the pro-freedom message through creative activism and have some time to help (even if it’s just 10hr/wk and you’d be working remotely) let us know.

The documentary I.O.U.S.A. will open next week and Students for Saving Social Security has graciously extended its offer of getting interested individuals into the theater for free to crashers! If you live in/around DC, you can RSVP here. If you live outside the Beltway (and I don’t blame you), send an email to Jo@SecureOurFuture.org and they’ll get you into a theater near you for free.
