Crashers,

I hope you’ve been well. I received a lot of excellent feedback from many of y’all last week, including the fact that it was impossible to update your ZIP via the “Manage Subscription” button. As a workaround, we created this page on the Bureaucrash website. Please take a second to update at least your ZIP, so we can let you know of crashes and other events in your area.

This week, some news, a crash, and a couple requests.

The News:

  • The Free State Project’s annual PorcFest is happening June 9-15 in Gilford, NH and Bureaucrash will once again join hundreds of other activists and liberty-lovers for the festivities. We hope to see you too!
  • For those who weren’t able to make it last week to the protest at the Zimbabwean Embassy, we got some solid interviews and good footage. We’ll get a video put-together soon, but in the meantime, check out this video from our participation last year.
  • The fundraiser for Brooke held last week netted around $500. Good stuff. If you still want to help out, you can buy this shirt. In case you’re curious, Brooke is scheduled to be in court on May 21st.
  • We’re in the process of hiring a new Video Production Manager (hence the delay on the Zimbabwe video).

The Crash:

  • This time, our efforts to expose State aggression takes us to South America (by way of an embassy). It’ll go down Wednesday, May 28th at the Argentine Embassy (1600 New Hampshire Ave, NW, Washington, DC 20009) from 1-3PM.

“Why Argentina?!” you ask? Well, because the current Argentine State has increased the export taxes for agricultural goods to such an extent that it’s having terrible repercussions for farmers in the country. Also, the purposeful debasing of the currency has raised the cost of imported agricultural goods (yet another problem with State-controlled currency). This has sparked massive protests across the country and hardships for many individuals. Check out this Wiki article and BBC article from today for more background.

The Requests:

  • Do you have graphic design skills and love freedom? If so, let me know if you’re interested in helping us out.
  • Is there an event happening near you that has Bureaucrash written all over it? Whether it’s a crash or a vendor table, let us know so. Only by turning others on to the ideas of individual liberty, personal responsibility, and free markets, can we hope to extinguish the thirst for an even larger and more rights-usurping State.

In liberty,

-Pete
