Capitalist economists estimate that the GDP of the United States would be about $30,000,000,000,000 ($30 Trillion) without government interference in the economy (the GDP is currently about $12 trillion), that poverty would much much less than it is now, and the average income of Americans would be over $100,000. The government taxes gas at about 50 cents per gallon, and government regulations have caused the price of gas to go up even more. Without taxes, gas would cost about $2.25 a gallon or less. It is also estimated that the IRS causes the prices of all goods to rise by 10-20%. Socialism damages the economy in other countries just as much, if not more.
