Democrats want to know if Feds spied on Journalists
House Democrats want to know if Bush’s spying program was used on journalists or members of congress. CNN says it is ‘looking into’ whether its chief international correspondent, Christiane Amanpour, has been spied on. NSA officials denied this.
The previous day Rep. John Conyers sent a letter to Bush asking for the names of all journalists or members of congress that may have been spied on. The White House referred the matter to the NSA, who had no comment. It is illegal for the government to spy eavesdrop on any US citizen without a warrant.
